I also think bats are cute, but I don't want them inside my house. Outside is fine as they eat lots of mosquitoes.

The exterminator will leave a few openings and attach something that is akin to legs of pantyhose to each opening so remaining bats can exit when night comes. The bats can fly out through the " tubes " but will be unable to return.

Exterminator will then seal the openings.

Problem area: wherever there are fruit trees and pond / lake nearby, bats will thrive there.

There are 5 that have taken up residency in the eaves of my daughters' house in Costa Rica! I could not help but look up and smile when visiting, because I too, think they are cute. The only real concern is the guano. 😊

As I always say, I am more afraid of the two legged predators who are far more destructive and dangerous than any wildlife. Bats are necessary to the ecosystem although I can understand those who dislike them. Me, many humans scare me, my opinion.
