I'm no fan of the USPS.  However, I have found that items shipped to me my UPS or FedEx and then dropped at my post office for my pick up are there.  I have not had any trouble with that procedure.

You may need to re-read my post......they, the pants, are still sitting at the local PO......  And yes, they do sit on packages until they decide to deliver them.  It is a know fact here where I live.  They do it all the time.  I do know what I'm talking about.  This is not the first time, believe me, that this has happened.

I don't have to go to the PO to pick up packages.  That is what they are being paid to do with this arrangement they have with QVC.

@Imaoldhippie......yes. I know it is the fault of the local PO.  But it is the Q's fault for their brainchild idea of using the USPS......  There are 3 things in that order, and I had to pay 3 separate S&H on them.  All shipped in one plastic bag that they use for shipping.

You are lucky for such wonderful service from your local PO.

@Imaoldhippie  They ship the cheapest way.  If they do something else you'll pay more.  Ready for that?

Our post office is not open past noon on a Saturday and never on a Sunday or holiday. If I am expecting a package on a Monday or the day after a holiday, forget it, it'll be delivered the next day. My son lives in the city where the main post office resides and I know they work everyday and holidays. I personally like FedEx, everything I buy on line that ships with them is at my door in 3 to 5 days from anywhere in the US and in perfect condition.

I will do anything to avoid FedEx.  They leave a big old sticker on your door making it far easier for someone to see YOU HAVE A PACKAGE from the street!

@Imaoldhippie.......I only have problems when articles of clothing that have been ordered.  I order things from Walgreen's, a local medical supply, and others.....Never have a problem with any of those packages being delivered by the PO.

I know several other local folks that have problems with our local PO and have been in to talk with them.  They get the run around when they make a complaint.  It is the same PO where my mail is delivered from.  I am handicapped as far as getting in and out of my car, so it would be very difficult to go to see them.  I know I could call, but that would be a waste of time.

Yes, I hope I get the package tomorrow.  We'll see!!!

I doubt that you would get through to the Postmaster buy calling.  Sorry for all your troubles, I hope it improves for you.

@Sooner......No, I'm not ready to do that.  I have paid 3 separate S&H already.....for it all to be in one plastic bag......  I know it is the cheapest way for the Q, but it's just not the best way.....

I live in a 4 family apartment.....and when there is a package being delivered, the mailman always knocks on the door to let me (or the others that have a package) know there is a package outside the door.  We have never had a package stolen from here.  I have lived here for over 20 years now.

I beg to differ.  Smiley Happy  I HATE the arrangement they came up with.  I prefer UPS all the way.  I'm in a major city and USPS DOES sit on things.  For DAYS.

@ShowMe

I totally agree with you.  Some post offices are NOT delivering the items timely.

My home post office does.  It arrives to them and either goes out the same day or the next at the very latest.

My post office up here at work?  I have watched the tracking and an additional 2-4 days before it arrives is NOT uncommon.

Luckily, I am NEVER in a big hurry.  But the point remains, we pay for shipping and deserve better service than transferring to USPS.  ESPECIALLY when we pay separate shipping for EACH item and they are sent in ONE bag saving QVC money.

UPS both at home and at work are prompt and here at work, it is brought right IN to me!  Not hung by 27 rubber bands to the mail box flag on an extremely busy road.

I know it is frustrating...but try to remember...they are only pants.  Don't get too upset for another day or two delay.  This is the way Q does it and we just have to deal with it or shop elsewhere!

Try to shrug it off...maybe some day it will go back to letting us select our shipping method.
