A couple of years ago there was a tuna conversation on Q and so many people said Kirkland (Costco) was their favorite brand.  I decided to try it and that's all we've used ever since.  IMO it's the best out there.

Is there more than one kind of Kirklands tuna? ...albacore, skipjack..?? Which one should I buy? Thanks.

You know, I don't know if there's more than one kind, I just go for the albacore which is what had been so highly recommended.

I like tuna but I don't eat it super frequently.   I also buy the Kirkland brand white albacore in water.   It's been a superior brand that I've enjoyed for as many years as I could remember.

I don't blame people from moving on from Bumble Bee.  I never found that brand to be as good as any of the others and they have had so many recalls over the years.  My husband accidentally bought me  The Starkist brand at Costco once.  It's always been a decent brand, but the Kirkland brand beats them all.  Plus, they continue to make the standard 7oz cans.  I always have some on hand. He just got me a new package of them and, thankfully, the date on them is 2019 since I have a few cans left from last time.

I remember all of those glowing reviews too!  I'd love to try this brand but don't have a Costco anywhere near me!

Oh thanks, @SilleeMee.  I don't know why I never think to look at Amazon (or anywhere on line) for food.  Just doesn't occur to me.  I'll check it out now though!

Yes, there is a Costco here but it's quite a ways away and I'm not a member nor do I know anyone who is. Between paying the membership and driving my gas hog to and from Costco, I think I'd be better off buying online.  Amazon prices didn't look too bad really.
