If another can easily anger you it is because you are off balance with yourself.

I say true to a certain extent. A person who is confident within themselves cannot be angered by another person's words. Actions on the other hand are a different matter.

There's a difference between "easily angered" and simply angered. Sometimes words matter, sometimes not.

Said by anyone anywhere? Too many variables to tack on a label.

I think that might be true. My husband is slow to anger (and forgives very easily) and he is very confident in himself. I, on the other hand, am the exact opposite.

I don't know what being confident would have to do with being angered by another's words.

Let somebody say something unkind about my husband or family and I will be very angry.

Let somebody say something bigoted, racist, homophobic or anything along those lines and I will be very angry.

Yet, anybody who knows me knows that I am very confident on all levels. Smile

^^^^this......and just like the OP's "What do you think?" thread with the quote about real people not caring about image it's too vague.

Why? Are they speaking the truth or a lie? If it's a lie then why be angry if you know what the truth is? After all is said and done that's what matters.

When "another person" speaks, they're just doing the best they can with what the good Lord gave them; bless their hearts.

I say there's something wrong with those who don't feel angry when hearing or reading bigoted comments.

I disagree. I do not care for those that are easy to anger...but I do think there are times when one must react...but appropriately. Some over react.
