Re: ๐Ÿ˜  $#!? Toothache!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜

I am impressed you had those products in your home so you could readily use them. You were prepared for the situation.

I am going to be a copy cat and when out I will purchase them. Be prepared for a disaster.

Glad you are feeling better.

Re: ๐Ÿ˜  $#!? Toothache!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜

Didn't read all responses but if it was minor gum inflammation it's a good idea to rinse wiith warm salt water a couple of times a day for a day or so.  Salt is a natural disinfectant.  Put 1/2 tsp salt in a glass of water. Swish in mouth for 10-15 seconds and spit out. Repeat.   Do not swallow the water.  If the pain is on one side of the mouth, you can tilt your head a little to that side when you swish.

I had a minor ache a couple of months ago and my dentist was closed.  That's what I did and problem solved.

Wear a mask. Social distance. Be part of the solution - not part of the problem.

I think it all depends on where you live. I live in a small area. If I lived in New york, California, chicago, etc. I might take a different stand.

People I know don't do stupid stuff like party hardy and get looped in large, unmasked crowds, swim (no water to swim in around here) go to beaches, attend music concerts, we're all squares. LOL

These people having big weddings, parties of all sorts inviting all ages of people who have been no telling where with no telling who are just asking for trouble.  What the media doesn't tell you is I bet the majority of cases are amongst the ladies of the night, etc.

Update #1

7 1/2 hrs later (11:30 AM)

Still pain free after eating a hardy breakfast.

A small filling came out of a bottom back tooth.  I thought I swallowed it in my sleep.  Found it on my bed.

I live in N.J.  Not going to a dentist until a TRIED & TRUE vaccine is discovered/available.  In the meantime, all pharmacies have OTC tempory dental fillings.  Will use if it becomes necessary.

@Mz iMac

The fact that you stock three dental pain products might indicate you need to see a dentist.  A filling falling out is unlikely to cause major pain.  You have something else going on .... maybe an infection.  A LOT can go wrong in your mouth while waiting for a vaccine to be available.

Huh?   You are speculating that the majority of Covid deaths are because of trasmission from "questionable sources" .... and the media should be telling everyone what you suspect?   What about children who've died from Covid?  I think that's a bit of a stretch .... JMO.

@Tinkrbl44  "The fact that you stock three dental pain products might indicate you need to see a dentist."

Not even close.  I have fillings that have been in my mouth for over 45 yrs.  For the last 3 yrs, they started falling out.  Not the whole filling but a piece of it.  Really strange.

Reason why I stock up.  I never know when the next toothache will pop up!

I do not have an infection.  I am still pain free as well as no gum soreness.  It's as if the toothache never happened other than a filling came out.   So thank you "Red Cross Toothache."   It disinfected & deaden the nerve.

Earlier today, I rinsed my mouth/tooth out w/ salt & the Oragel rinse to disinfect before I used the temp filling.

At 70 yrs young, my safety comes first than going to a dentist before a vaccine is available.
