There are so many “QVC” ruined my Christmas threads because the hosts keep saying, “GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE BEFORE CHRISTMAS”. I hate that they do that, and feel that it is a seriously deceptive business practice.

Every retailer, I know of,  that offers on line shopping 🛍 makes that offer, to some extent.

As shoppers, I think we have to use common sense. The merchant, may indeed, get the item shipped, in plenty of time, but, it's Winter, it's, the Christmas season, it's also cold and flu season!

Shippers are facing weather related delays, bad driving conditions, short staffing, due to illness, and seasonal employees, not nearly as well trained, as their regular staff.
Add to that, tired, stressed, overworked employees, are are more prone to error.

I think it's pretty impressive, that the vast majority, of those, guaranteed to arrive packages, from all retailers, actually do make it on time!

But, unless you love adding to your holiday stress, Shop Early 🎄.  If you can't, accept the risks.   No reason for a late package to ruin anyone's Christmas.  If Aunt Mary gets her new handbag late, hey, she'll have the fun of opening a gift, after everyone already has theirs 🎁

Actually Christmas decor shows are about done. There will be little from here on out.

It will be gifting shows for the most part now. Same stuff they sell all year, just packaged for holiday giving.

I love the CIJ and all the monthly events that follow. A great change from the endless clothing, purses, shoes, and beauty.

Most of us tune in for the endless clothing, purses, shoes, and beauty shows. CAN WE NOT JUST DO CHRISTMAS  AFTER SEPTEMBER? Christmas in July kind of ruins my summer. Maybe QVC should get more summer products, not that it would have helped this year.

Yes, too many holiday shows, especially since Christmas in July actually started in June.

Christmas Sells.  That's why they do this.  If you Decorate your house and yard for Christmas or the like and plan to Give Gifts get them now and you'll Hopefully have the correct order delivered to you before the Deadline.  If you Wait you take the risk.  It's up to you.  They offered.

Re: Too Many Christmas Shows!

I have never understood those who gripe about Christmas shows, beauty shows, clothing, electronics or whatever. You would think that QVC is the only network to watch and that people are being tied to their chairs and forced to watch. The bottom line is that QVC is a business and is there to sell products not to entertain us. They show what sells. And evidently Christmas shows sell.

@Sapphiregal   And, cats are sent from heaven.  lol  You are not alone when it comes to all the Christmas shows.  The Q will probably go all out because of the Pandemic.  Yes, Christmas shows until Dec. 23 (if they have overnight shipping).  I stopped watching the Q only tune in every blue moon.

Re: Too Many Christmas Shows!

I like the Christmas shows, its a welcome distraction to the virus and other depressing, distressing news.
