The days are getting shorter, and tomorrow is the Autumnal Equinox, meaning, there will be equal number of hours of daylight and darkness, marking the first day of fall.

The shortest day of the year will be on December 21, marking the first day of winter.

The Sky looks different when you have someone you love up there.

Honestly, I'm glad to see summer go away. But I hate that it's still dark at 7am - and getting dark sooner in the evenings.

Hallelujah, even though it doesn't mean much in Arizona where it's still hovering around 105 it's cooler in the mornings and I like that it's getting dark earlier and staying dark longer. Keeps it from getting hot as early. Maybe by Halloween we can finally have some cooler weather.

@Anonymous032819 Thank goodness! Although, we won't feel the full effects of fall until November, just glad summer is over. It's cooler this morning and even my dog is excited to go for a long walk instead a quick run out and back in because of the intense heat and humidity; he's not a fan either. Now, maybe I can get some yard work done.

ETA: Can't wait for the time change, too. I may be in the minority on that one, but I love it!

I was thinking about it this morning before I even got my first cup of coffee. My air conditioner just ran and ran yesterday. I am so ready to let this summer go and buy turkey and pumpkin.

I agree. Fall is Ok but winter is awful. Dislike with a passion. Don't care for the time change either. Dark in the morning and dark at nite. Wish we could go from fall to sping. Guess thats not going to happen

I'm such a Summer lover. I never even knew people hated Summer until I joined this group!! I don't know anyone personally that doesn't like Summer. I despise Fall and WInter. I just count the days until Summer returns.
