Interesting thread. I make toast (maybe?) twice a year, so I just use the oven.

My problem is an electric can opener lol. My very old White Westinghouse is chipped and cracked (from being dropped or knocked off the counter) and twice I've tried to buy a replacement....and twice disappointed.

If you find the perfect toaster, please share. Maybe that company  makes can openers too.

Until recently, I used a very old Sunbeam toaster. It lowered and raised the bread automatically. I remember having this toaster as a small child, around 3-4.

It finally gave out earlier this year. Since I no longer eat much toast, I got a cheap one and it's working for me.
