@willdob3   I have to agree 100%.  I wish that's all I had to 'worry' about....

Not something I've ever wondered or thought about.

I wish I could have advised the OP before she started this thread. It never goes well. But she is absolutely correct when it comes to the body of a message. Netiquette is that it is the equivalent of shouting in real life.

BTW, all caps in the body of a work is NOT necessarily easier to read (yes, I capped one word for emphasis :-). If you have ever tried to read a transcript in all caps, you would see the difficulty. My husband has occasionally received such transcripts from court reporters and has not been pleased. They are most certainly not taught to do that.

So maybe the answer for those who have sight limitations is to use a slightly larger font. I use #3 for any lengthy quoting I do here. But I don't think that the answer is to cap every word in a post.

Thankfully, I don't see it too often.

@Carmie, that´s the way it was done in school. All titles were done in all CAPS Some people don´t seem to understand that it´s the body of the thread that should not be in CAPS.

It´s ok for the title to be in ALL CAPS. That´s not considered SHOUTING.

I´ve never started a thread, but if I did it would be in all CAPS as my teachers taught me.

Oh my, I think I'm guilty of Titles in ALL CAPS. Geez, in the scheme of things this is what is bothering you.

@mom2four0418, I don´t like when a poster use BOLD letters. It hurts my eyes even though it might me a #3.

Also what I don´t like is anything that´s written on #1 and #2. I pass those over because they are too small but the posters might not realize it.

@KatieB, this has been happening a lot today. Posters are taking the words right out of my mouth.

Here´s to all CAPS for the titles, as most of us were taught in school.

Really? That doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it makes it easier to read.

I have 20/20 vision and still don’t like a small font. I also pass over those posts, along with those that seem to go on forever...

If I use all caps to start a thread it isn't because I want to draw attention to my post or to be rude. Mine is a habit from the "old" days when I used to type on a typewrter. You know  ........ To: ....... From: ...... Subject. I was always told to put the subject in all caps.

Old habit. Hard to break.

The OP only asked the question out of curiosity. I took no offense to the question and I am guilty of doing what they were asking about.
