@goldensrbest  We had days and days of just horrible heat and humidity (NE PA).

We finally got a break and it wasn't too bad, well, it's back.

I really don't do too well in this weather.

@Desertdi ....and lest we forget, summer heat began in APRIL this year!!  Waiting for our monsoon rains.  Hope they come soon.  The heat is very difficult to endure and there's another 2 months to go.

Parts of Wisconsin are under tornado warnings right now.  Hoping we don't lose power.

I am at my beach house right now and thank goodness I am because at my permanent home we lost power on Friday evening due to a tornado and it hasn't been restored yet.

We lucked out with only getting very heavy rainfall and moderate winds.  It is still raining heavily.  Had to trade out the grilled chicken thighs for steamed-on-the-stovetop tamales.

I never realized how dependent I have become on air conditioning. Lost power last Tuesday and it was a scorcher. We could not sleep until it was restored Friday. The weather has been awful. There are still people around here waiting for restoration of power. My heart goes out to them if the heat bothers them...

Re: This weather

DH and I usually walk about an hour in the evenings because it is just too hot during the afternoon, or even the mornings. Last night was so miserable we cut our walk short and didn’t go out at all tonight. At 7:30 pm tonight it was still 98 with heat index of 102 and 43% humidity. It will be like this for the next six days, so don’t know when we will go out to walk again, I don’t deal with the heat like I used to. The low has been around 85. Am so ready for fall!
