Re: Things that cost more than they should

Interesting thing about the greeting cards...does anyone send them? We hardly EVER get or send. Most people prefer E-Mail. A few of our older friends like them.

I get all my greeting cards at Dollar Tree.  They are now made by Hallmark and are nice.  I would rather buy an additional gift than spend $3 to $5 for a card that will be thrown away.

I also buy all the gift bags at Dollar Tree.  Cards, gift bags, tissue paper all end up in the garbage.

Re: Things that cost more than they should

What year are you pricing on?  When I was a child, gasoline was 5 cents a gallon.  It isn't now.  Salaries are way up.  Minimum wage as well as salaries have risen.

My first car loan, 1970 was $106.98 a month.  It was a very nice midsized car.  What is the average today?  Again where are the salaries?

Don't get me wrong I wish my dollar was worth more than it is, but for every rise, there is a fall.

I think it's just better to be born a millionaire.  Excuse me, these days it's better to be born a billionaire.
