@PhillyGirl23 wrote:$70 for pedal pusher jeans by D&Co- No zippers (basically easy to make)
This Gary guy has NO STYLE himself!

@Desert Lily @PhillyGirl23 Shipping at Serendity, Sundance, and others would cause a major uproar in comparison with QVC. One item shipping is $12.99, decide to purchase a second item and the shipping goes up to $14.99. I'll sure like to see reactions from the Q's customers with that kind of shipping.

@KathyM23 QVC has several house brands. As a former product developer, that means that the price can be what the perceived value can be...and those limits are different than brands found in the marketplace. It also means that there's no middleman/company to pay commission to, etc. Some cost of shipping could be built into the retail price.
I'm pretty much over this. Have a good night.

Q's items are always higher, It doesn't bother me, I just do not buy lol. I am finding nice things locally, sometimes same brands Q has at a better price.

I think the difference is, you are not just paying for the product here. The Q offers a presentation to see how an item fits usually on different types of bodies.
We are paying for the presentations which include a host, vendor and models. I for one appreciate that and it makes a huge difference to me rather than just seeing a photo or two of a product.

Everyone has a right to their opinion in here, whether you agree or disagree with the original post/poster
.
The real problem is how the responses are answered or addressed in here by some posters. Some posters are downright rude and condescending if they personally disagree with the post/poster. Why? Is it really necessary? And yet, it always seems to fuel and give those few, hidden behind their keyboards, an arrogant sense of dominance over anyone else's opinion.
I believe other posters would like to comment on many subjects in here but avoid doing so because of being pounced on or made to feel unworthy of their opinion.

@PhillyGirl23 I agree and NO we're not having strokes over these prices (@chrystaltree) !!!!!!
You could make the same items for pennies on the dollar in fabric alone, $5.00 to $10.00 in fabric, a couple of seams and you're done. Yes I've sewn my own clothes through the years, these clothing items do not cost this much to make as they charge here ESPECIALLY when at least 90% are make in huge factories overseas made for $3-5.00 a piece.
And then certainly do not forget the cost of shipping & handling and tax. And then if the stuff doesn't fit or they sent you the wrong size or the wrong color or totally the wrong item, then you/we are stuck with spending another $7.00 to send the stuff back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you're out $15 - $20 out of money all for nothing. And we're griped because we had to get the package back to either USPS or UPS - hassle!!!!!!!
Let's go back to shopping in Brick & Mortar and KEEP these folks in business and jobs. No s/h, no returns because you can look stuff over, see it, touch it, feel the fabric, TRY IT ON to see the fit. Pick a different size and/or color if you WANT TO. or just leave it all in the store and move along. It cost you nothing but a little fuel in your tank and it got you out of the house for an hour or so.

Yes, the prices are getting high here and elsewhere however, when you really think about it the Q has to make a certain profit margin as they are paying for the studio, the vendors, the hosts, people in the control room.........on and on. That all has to be added into the price of the items. It's getting to the point that it may not be worth it for them any longer to stay in business. JMO.
And oh yeah, people constantly complaining that highly paid hosts are being let go but yet don't want to pay the high prices..........hmmm.
