I really think about getting one every now and then, but decided that if I can't hardly bear to watch the news today, why bother with the newspaper?
Sounds like one of those "insanity" things. Like I want to get a newspaper for better/good news, only it won't be, so I guess it's more like "Twilight Zone". yup.

NY Times online. Love the sections ie book reviews,
movies, science, etc. I don't read a lot of the news.

DH and I always enjoyed getting the paper - we have a daily in our town and then we had a subscription to a large paper about 1 hour from our home - we got that one on Sunday only.
We cancelled the Sunday paper years ago, got to be very expensive and the weekly we dropped as well - very few pages in it - the news was stale (probably because of social media).
I do miss reading an actual newspaper.

NO! My local paper has shrunk in size (and readership)...and is nothing more than advertising, reprints of "news releases", and editorials.
I watch a local news station, a network station...and have breaking news updates on the computer throughout the day.

Yes! We get The Seattle Times delivered 7 days a week. It costs now about $600 a year. DH enjoys his paper....no price is too much😄

I have never been a newspaper reader, but my husband was. He faithfully read it every day until just a few weeks before he died. I stopped the subscription then.

We subscribe to a major newspaper, delivered every day. It sure is getting expensive, but we have subscribed for decades, and do enjoy it. I called the newspaper and whined about the price, and they gave me an OK discount for the next year. We also get our weekly local newspaper delivered.
Of course, there is more in the newspaper, than the bad news. I look at titles, and read only what interests me. Bypass the stuff I don't want to know about. Gotta read the advice column where women say hey love their boyfriends, but....[fill in some awful thing he does].
Some articles are too long, more than you want to know.
