A 9 point drop?  That’s a huge achievement, @suzyQ3.

Re: The Fast Metabolism Diet

Hi @Kalli,

I hope you stay doing well and are able to ride. My sis went to her son's winery in California, but I think the trip was more to attend the Breeders Cup Race. She is having her own issues with injuries, but I think she is riding once again.

I finally can say I "am feeling great. Consider myself a good ice skater once again, first time in about 12 years. Skating 2-3 times a week for 2 hour sessions. Loving it after many health issues for over a decade.

Take good care of yourself and shoot sis an email when you can.

Re: The Fast Metabolism Diet

I am a lifetime WW member from over 30 years ago, but now if I follow the WW Plan, I gain weight. Their Plan no longer works for me.

In order to lose weight, I have to go very low carbs, usually. 20 carbs or  less a day.  No other weight loss program works for me and I have tried them all.

Re: The Fast Metabolism Diet

I would just like to be able to ramp up my metabolism. Weight isn't a problem for me ,and my A1C are always normal

I have developed high morning blood sugar, my Dr says is my liver dumping and there is really nothing they can do for it. MY daily numbers are good

If my metabolism worked better  I might be able to go off of metformin?

Hi @cherry.. Of course I use insulin but I find eating before 6 and eating low carb for that meal helps reduce morning highs. If you take metformin at night around bedtime...it might help. If you want to know if you are producing much insulin anymore, have a c peptide test. Your metabolic rate would help with diabetes only if you had high blood sugars related to being overweight. You aren't so how quickly you burn calories and increasing it would not have much bearing on your use of metformin. Metformin is being used to extend life and help with insulin resistance. I take it off label myself.

Continued prayers and good wishes on your husband's recovery. Take care..

Re: The Fast Metabolism Diet

@Trinity11  I never eat anything past 5 pm and I am quite low carb

My endo thinks I am doing fine. I have never had an A1C above 5 since I have been diagnosed

I try to make sure to take metformin with food , always. I might try getting the  type of metformin  that is slowly released though out the day and night.

@cherry, I would try a small bedtime snack to see if that would stop the liver dump.  That’s what was recommended to me years ago when I was having that issue.
