Hi @Kalli,
I hope you stay doing well and are able to ride. My sis went to her son's winery in California, but I think the trip was more to attend the Breeders Cup Race. She is having her own issues with injuries, but I think she is riding once again.
I finally can say I "am feeling great. Consider myself a good ice skater once again, first time in about 12 years. Skating 2-3 times a week for 2 hour sessions. Loving it after many health issues for over a decade.
Take good care of yourself and shoot sis an email when you can.

John, that's great news! I know skating has always been such a big part of your life so it's great to hear that you feel well and are doing what you love! 😊
Glad your sis is riding again. I'll have to send her an email with some updated pictures. My gelding turned 10 in April and I'm thankful for every trail ride as he keeps me safe and we have fun laughing at his silly personality. He's a lovable goof! Haha.
Take care,
-Kalli

Well I finished Week 1, and did okay. Got the books, the cookbook and the one explaining it, written by a Nutritionist - who's all for real foods, which I am too. Not allowed any fat free stuff at all.
So I see no one here has tried it. I was just wondering. It's a diet that speeds your metabolism so you can lose weight faster. It's a very healthy one, the only ones I am interested in. I want to lost 20 pounds..

Yay - I lost 2 pounds, my husband 3 and my daughter 4, and we ate alot!
It isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Planning meals in advance and freezing them helps alot. Doing it with my daughter who does most of the work.

People always seem to get hung up on the word diet but we all are on a diet of some sort. One can be on a diet of low carbs, a diet of limited sugar, a plant based diet. That simply can mean that is the way you eat, not a temporary plan.
WW is considered a diet plan yet many people seem to think it's the be all end all of plans. Many people have lost a lot of weight on WW and put it all back on, most of it back on or a significant amount of it back on.

@Lipstickdiva, speaking only for myself, I think of the word "diet" as a program one goes on for a period of time in order to lose weight (not talking now about medical reasons).
I had a friend who was very overweight and decided to lose pounds in anticipation of some occasion. She dieted and lost weight. Naturally, you know what happened after the event.
I think that Nutrisystem is a good example (hope I don't offend its fans). They seem to tout that you can eat all these sweets and bars and shakes, seemingly without mention that these are probably the types of foods that were triggers.
I'm not saying that anyone should necessarily delete all favorites from their menu, but there should at least be some nod to better choices and learning that a sweet apple, rather than a candy bar, really is satsifying.
It's as much about habit as anything else.

@suzyQ3 That's why they say diets don't work. People must change their eating habits for the rest of their life
They can't go back to their old routine, once they have achieved their goal
My goal is to try to gain back a couple of pounds I lost, because of my stomach issues ,even though I didn't try to. I don't know that I can ,because I do intermittent fasting for a lot of the day. It has helped calm my stomach down quite a bit

EDITED BY ME!
I only want to address what I quoted. I 100% agree with you. Have not used the word "diet"(unless I am quoting it) for decades. My term since has been "Food Program". The word diet, to many, means working at losing weight, which is not really it's true definition.
Too many also seem to think that weight loss and "fat tissue lost", mean the same thing. Their concern when on the "quick loss schemes", seems to only the scale number being lower. I won't go into my typical soap box speel about Body Composition, I will say only, numbers only on a scale mean little. Most want to lose "fat tissue", not "fluid or muscle tissue", but become somewhat obsessed with scale numbers.
I'm out!!!

I agree with you all who don't like the word "diet". I don't either. This is really a food plan, with good wholesome real foods which you buy anyway in the grocery store, only programmed by the author, a nutritionist, to speed up your metabolism. My niece stays on goal, and never felt healthier. I only want to lose about 10 pounds - 15 at the most, thought maybe 20, but that's too much for me, But I got my answer. No one here is on this diet, I was just curious because if anyone was, it would be good to know how they like it etc. I'm on this with my daughter, husband, and 3 nieces, one who is at goal already and stays on. It's a nice support. I got my key at WW years ago. Gained a little back, but it's so expensive, This isn't, only the book and you go grocery shopping anyway. It's fun eating different recipes etc. my daughter cooks them and brings our share to us. Anyway, thanks for the responses.
