Wow!

The man at the post office and the gas station attendant just wished me a Merry Christmas!

Yup, they said those words.  Smiley Happy

I would've said "Merry Christmas" back!

I have been saying Merry Christmas this whole season and People have been saying thank you for saying Merry Christmas.  Some clerks have told me they are tired of having to say Happy Holidays.

They aren't bad words. Everyone has wished  us Merry Christmas this year, and we wish it right back.

They are not bad words to me.  I don't really get into the christmas thing either.  I think for some it's when others ram the 'joys of the season' down their throats and so they react - not wanting Merry Christmas and all.  Also, a big one is that others don't like the idea of getting together with relatives and family they don't like or love.  Along with any expense in presenting a gift without really having love in their heart.  I usually don't say anything - just smile.

If someone says Happy Holidays to me , I assume they mean BOTH Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  As long as they don't say something nasty, why does anyone care whether it's Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.  Some people just like to have something to be contrary about.
