SW MI, and our smoke detector went to beeping not like for a fire, but battery last night. So it scared the dog and DH had to get up and get it down for us.
Anyway, DH said we got 4" of new snow and it's still snowing!! So since my little one got so scared she sat in my lap and wouldn't get down, but that was ok. We had to get up, she was too upset to calm down for awhile.
Looked outside and wholy moley we went from none to a lot. It gets you in some sort of winter mood, but next week they said we'd go back into the 50's. Wierd winter.
So those of you that might be in the path of this, get ready to sled.

I'm in northern MI and see we got only about 2" overnight. This is such a weird winter! Were always the ones to get the most snow and now its the downstaters that are getting it. My son in Howell got 17" with that snow blast a few weeks ago! Here? Just a dusting!

@ID2, I was wondering what you got up there. I know you post early like I do and we're in MI. So glad to read that.

@qualitygal Why is it those smoke detector batteries have to go out in the middle of the night! LOL. We got a dusting of snow in mid Michigan but it made our roads very icy last night.

all we got here in NE Ohio was some sleety type of snow, looks slippery but only covered the sidewalks and some of the grass.

Been there, done that. No thank you!

I'm one state over. No snow here, but it's bitter cold. Would love some snow, send it over.

Barely had enough to stick to the grass here in southern WV. Our temps are in the low 30's, but will be back into high 50's next week, and predicted temperature for Christmas Day is 67! I am so okay with that! We deal with enough snow and frigid temps in January, February and March, to not worry about snow on Christmas.

We had a dusting of snow yesterday in Mid-Michigan, enough to frost the grass and cover the roads in ice. The freeway was crawling and cars were off the road on the sidestreets. It usually takes me twenty minutes to get home from work, but I was on the road for an hour.
When we had that huge snowstorm in November, we had fourteen inches and our county seat topped off at seventeen inches. It's supposed to warm up and be in the 50's for Christmas. So much for a white Christmas.
