Re: Thai Cave Rescue, Part 2

That means there are four boys left in the cave, and possibly their coach.  I wouldn't want to be the last one out.  Hopefully one of the rescuers stays with him so he's not alone.

It's true that little/conflicting information has been reported.  Here reporters would have been all over it...the hospital personnel would have been presenting press conferences regarding the health of the boys rescued.  I still read conflicting information as to whether the weakest/strongest boys were released first, apparently one news station reported yesterday that the coach was already rescued!  Yes, it has been a roller coaster ride regarding the press, but I certainly can't understand any criticism of the rescue efforts.

We just care that this miraculous rescue is taking place and successful with the exception of the devastating unfortunate death of the navy seal.  So glad the rescue has moved ahead.

Good post!

Yes, the rescue efforts is not the point of contention but the

Thai Government is the one putting up the media barriers.

Why? No one knows.

At this point, they don’t want us there...so I’m heeding their wishes.

Yes, I hope everyone comes out safely, but at this point...

I question if anything they tell us is correct.

And..in certain pockets of the interweb, there are already conspiracy theories brewing as to why Thailand Government is not releasing

a.n.y. information.

Crazy (it’s just internet fodder) but it does make one question...

why aren’t they more forthcoming?

Maybe; maybe not.

Logically I know what we hear/read is one thing,

but I’m so emotionally involved w/ the story,

I can’t help but follow! I’m kinda/sorta glad tomorrow

is a weekday.  At this point, as long as everyone, including divers,

comes away from this alive, that’s good for me..I don’t need

all the detail...or do I?? Ha  #NewsJunkie

I really do think they will tell us something/everything

when they’re ready to tell us.

Media complaints
Thai rescue officials have complained about some of the media coverage of the rescue mission. Officials have accused the media of hacking police radios and publishing incorrect information.

Right. I don't blame them one bit for keeping very tight control on info during the rescue process. Even US journalists posted incorrect info yesterday, claiming 6 were rescued when at that point, 4 were.

@Mj12

Unfortunately, per Thailand Government’s wishes, I’m emotionally backing out...! I’m hoping for the best for all who are involved...but my attentions will be elsewhere this week.

Re: Thai Cave Rescue, Part 2

It's night in Thailand now and it seems they're done for the day.  Will get back to it tomorrow.
