I make a  list and check it twice and order online. I always include a hefty one for myself to keep, you dont get the 5% when you use a gift card, but of course this is better.

The Target gift cards I get are ALL for me.  I max out to get the 10% off and then use them for purchases through the year until I've used them all.

speaking of Target, this is kind of OT, but the 2 stores I went to this week were so poorly stocked didn't look like Christmas shopping at all 

what is it like in your area, all the good stuff seems to be online

 Never heard of this. Just purchase a Target gift card and they take 10% off? My DIL loves Target! That would be a great birthday gift for her later in 2024 (if I purchase it on 12/ 02). Thanks for the interesting info!

ETA: Even better if I will be able to purchase this on-line. Does it go as a real gift card to my home via USPS?
