QVC starts Christmas shows in June.  It used to be "Christmas in July," but now it is June.  QVC also sells sandals in January.  Many parts of the USA are up to their waistlines in snow and QVC sells sandals.  That's our retail world.

Well for those of us that live in the South and the West, lots of people wear sandals year round.  Fashion including shoes for as far back as I can remember was always at least one season ahead.

Re: Talk About Rushing Seasons

When I worked retail--at a Party City--the day after 4th of July, the the Helloween stuff came in the frieght door---and continued for the next few months as well as Xmas stuff. In fact by August there was a small section of shelves that were set for Helloween too. Such is the retail world!!!

Re: Talk About Rushing Seasons

Stores often have supplies for more than one holiday at a time.   I recall being in some store last year around Labor Day and they had some things on display for THREE holidays .....  Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.   Woman LOL

I really do like the idea of scrutinizing new displays when they first appear .... and getting my choice of all the new stuff.   I really don't need to buy much for any holidays, but I like the idea of always having "first pick".

I know for the stores it's all about sales and making profits, but as a customer I just don't like seeing things that are way out of season. I just like to enjoy the season we are in and move on to the next season in a timely manner!!

When all that stuff is on the shelves just remember, you don't have to buy anything!

Anything to get our dollars.  Wonder if the candy canes will be for sale by July 4th?

Of course they are there to get our dollars @deepwaterdotter .  They're not there for charity.
