Growing up, my presents from Santa were never wrapped and we carried on the same tradition with our kids.  All other presents are wrapped though.

I never heard of Christmas gifts to children not being wrapped! Santa's gifts are always wrapped and tied with a ribbon! Its so magical when the kids come down the stairs and see all the wrapped presents under the tree! What fun is it for them if the unwrapped toys are just sitting there? No mystery or excitement! You gotta wrap. I still wrap everything for everyone, and my kids are in their mid-30's!

I agree, a bunch of unwrapped toys just look like clutter that needs gathered up and put back in the toy box.

@occasionalrain I take offense at your last sentence since I was one of the people who already stated that Santa's gifts were not wrapped for my kids. TOYS UNDER THE TREE ARE NOT CLUTTER! What ever happened to respect of one's traditions? Without an insult?

I totally agree!  I remember one Christmas when I was little and coming out to find a kitchen set.  It was a little refrigerator and stove.  Oh my goodness, it was so beautiful and exciting.  And just glistening from the Christmas tree lights reflecting off of the metal.  Evidently Dad stayed up most of the night assembling those pieces.  LOL!  But it certainly didn't look like clutter, or if it did it was some of the most beautiful clutter I have ever seen!!

Whatever anyone's traditions might be, they are traditions without one being better or more important than another.  Heart
