rain this morning and it looks like it's getting ready to dump on us again but no hail........can't tell if the mountains are getting snow, the clouds are too low to see, so my guess would be they did................................raven

@raven-blackbird  People talking about the oceans rising.   So I started a topic about the rising waters.

In your area it has "shark tooth mountian"... I am sure you know this.   So the point is this...in the past the ocean was there,,,now it is fields and fruit trees.... and the ocean is a long ways away.... Santa Maria is close.... so I guess your area will be a ocean again.

The landscape keeps changing around the world all the time.

@onewhiteSparrow yes, we have Shark Tooth Mountain and there isn't a grade schooler that doesn't know, this area at one time was an inland sea.....they also know that at one time dinosaurs roamed this area...........as to the sea's locaion to us,  it's not so far away, maybe only 120 miles as the crow flies..........as to being an ocean again..........LOL........well no worries, we all can swim...............................raven

@Noel7, not a California peep anymore, but my favorite times in No Cal were when I lived in Monterey and the storms brought the big waves in. A panegyric to nature.

Hello, MaggieMack Smiley Happy

Love Monterey!  A beautiful area, and then there's the nearby Carmel, like a fairy village.

Will be in that area Christmas week -- gorgeous!

Hi Noel.  We finally had rain, real rain here for about 2-3 hours.  Okay, not such a deal but to us here, it is.

It rained last night for several hours.

Washed off the leaves and helped them drop to the ground.
