Dressing.  Unless you stuff it up the bird ... then it's stuffng.  Now I need some dressing and cranberry salad.  Geesh ... I'll never make it 'till Thanksgiving.  LOL

Yankee...    always called it Stuffing no matter how we made it.   Personally,  I prefer it out of the bird!

I am from the West Coast and we call it both even though we no longer stuff in the turkey but it has to have oysters in it to be served at Thanksgiving!

I'm thinking I need a preview @sunshine45.  It's going to be cooler next week and a little pan of dressing goes with almost everything.  If not, it does make for a good breakfast. Just need to run to the store for celery. Smiley Wink

Hi @JJsMom  makes sense to me. lol  I call it stuffing and don't stuff the turkey either.

Me too, @nyc1  I prefer it out of the bird too.  I love the crispy top/ends.

Stuffing and I've never stuffed it into a turkey.

 

I do not think I've ever heard anyone call it dressing in RL. 

 

Never heard of Stove Top Dressing.
