Re: 🤔 Stuffing or Dressing?

I may live in the south now, but I’ll always be a Yankee.

It’s stuffing.

Re: 🤔 Stuffing or Dressing?

Born and raised in Arkansas.  My family has always called it " Hen and Dressin".  It always takes center stage in our Thanksgiving menu.  Turkey is considered just a side dish.  My mother passed away last summer and now I am carrying on the torch.  I even bake it in her black and white speckled pan.  It's known as the "Dressin Pan".

that is what my turkey and dressing are prepared in......black and white speckled pans. they help brown the dressing so nicely!

Yes they do!  And it makes such a yummy crusty texture on the bottom and sides too!  My mom once tried using another pan and the dressing wasn't the same.  She never made that mistake again.  LOVE these pans!

Re: 🤔 Stuffing or Dressing?

Stuffing is when you place it the bird, dressing if it's in a casserole dish.

Re: 🤔 Stuffing or Dressing?

And I prefer stuffing in the bird, sometimes stove top type if I'm not stuffing a bird.

That is a very good idea. My Dad used to make stuffing sandwiches.
