I like apples stewed with sauerkraut and sometimes put fruit in coleslaw -- both cabbage dishes.........so it doesn't seem such a jump to put fruit in stuffed cabbage, although I've never eaten it that way. Some stuffed cabbage recipes have sweet and spicy flavors that might go OK with fruit, it seems to me.

I don't know about cabbage and raisins but many Italians do use currants and pine nuts in their meatballs - it's a regional thing.
My FIL used them in his braciole.

I agree...not a fan of cooked cabbage and can not imagine it with fruit.
