On a Lighter Note - Yesterday I Gave Up...............

my flip phone. I have DS's old smartphone since he is getting yet another new one.

And for the first time I actually sent a text. ${#emotions_dlg.blush}$ But not in the car. At home. The young lady at the phone store - well let's just say her face was priceless when she saw what I had been using.

Congrats Cakers! Me too! I obtained a smartphone for the first time a couple years ago and my husband sends me text msgs from work....like what he feels like eating for dinner.

I liked the flip phones better. I liked it better when a phone was just a phone.

Found: Ha - DH also got a new one (although he had another one from a friend of DS) but didn't use all the goodies.

Grandson is having a laugh about us.

I'm just not a tech kind of person - I'm much better at other things.

Preds: If my phone wasn't dying out I probably would not have taken the leap - but since the phone was free from DS and no contract - what the heck. I feel like a dinosaur sometimes, though. Oh wait - I am old. ${#emotions_dlg.lol}$

LucyGoose: The flips are coming back - they had 4 or 5 brands.

At least with a smartphone the screen is nice and big and then there's the predictive typing which makes it very easy to send a text quickly. Since getting it, I also sent a text to my brother to let him know and now that's how we usually communicate...also, just from home.
