never really seen Carson but  read he was a gross guy especially toward women. I'd  stack Colbert's morals against his any day.

@Lila Belle, I do have to agree with you about his morals.  I was just referring to his comedy talent.

I love his new show, but enjoyed his old show, as well. They can't really be compared though. The old one was him portraying a fictitious blowhard character; the new one is him as a traditional late night host with some comedy bits thrown in. The Veep interview was epic for late night. Extremely moving.

I watched the show..twice. The first thing I said was, he's trying to be Jimmy. I still feel that way.
