We have over 40+ roses growing on our property; in full bloom right now.  Lovely, down right lovely.  In colors of white and pink growing over the white picket fense.  The grass is green.

NO, I do not see your point.  Your vegetation is thriving during the drought?

No, dew is not always on the ground and on plant life. Much of California is a desert.

California lawns are brown. Landscaping is dead already in many areas. Guess the dew theory isn't working.

Re: Stealing Water During The Drought

May I second the comment that dew is NOT always on the ground. I live in Sou Cal and having dew on the grass in the morning is rarely seen - maybe during rainy season. Now that is a joke!!! We had fog this morning like crazy BUT dirt and dead grass was bone dry!  Unless you live in it perhaps one does not fully understand what this drought is like. It is truly sad and heartbreaking. I live in what was my parents home and I think of them during this time. They would have been heartbroken!!! They were here in the drought of the early 70s - while it was bad, it was nothing like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noel

I was ready of the draught and was laughing at the term water shaming!  haha, my lawn is green, but most on the block are brown.  We miser water many ways, there are 2 of us.  We water the amount of time they allow.  We have trees to shade the heat though.

There were several reports of hail in California yesterday. Hail is not dew, and it will not save lawns and rose bushes.
