Since my son was a little boy...he's been obsessed with when various leave on trees bud.

He knows them all - maples, oaks, magnolias, etc. It's his favorite time of year.

I remember more than one Easter when we had to wear our old winter coats instead of our new Spring coats. (Remember when we had four season clothes?)

I thought I read the time change was March 8th. That seems really early this year.

It has been so unseasonably warm in the Southwest that the junipers and elms are budding, there's a ton of pollen in the air and everyone is sniffling and sneezing. I've had to start taking my Allegra.

We live in north central NC, maybe 30 miles or so from the VA border. My daffodils are up about 6 inches and I saw a big flock of robins today. Spring is on its way!

They were selling daffodils at Trader Joe's yesterday. I look forward to them every year and always bring some home. They're so cheerful looking!

Our early spring came to a screeching halt with huge snows in the mountains and single digit wind chills here in the Albuquerque area. Weather guy says there are 2 more storms lined up to hit us later...remember these will go East.
