I've been thinking about you and your family {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Did you get any of the Oscar's rain last night? We are still as dry as a bone. I finally decided to stop worrying about it and enjoy the good weather Smile

Hey Noel!!

You know what? I was wondering the same thing about you. I am happy to say we have gotten almost 3/4"" of much needed rain so far. It's still raining now.

Predicted to rain again next weekend too. YAY!!!!

We may be making a tiny bite in this horrible drought after all.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

There you are! Smile

Still raining? That is such good news!

It's all good here, DD and I made a party out of the Academy Awards last night. DH fell asleep, which is traditional for him, LOL .

We've also been celebrating Tet/Lunar New Year and had dim sum this weekend. The lion/dragon dancers are all over the city, entertaining us in various neighborhoods.

I had 3 of my 4 DD's here for the Awards show and my DH also fell asleep...typical too!!

I can only imagine what the Lunar New Year must be like in your area. That have shown it on our news down here and it looks wonderful!!

I would so love to see it in person. Maybe some day I hope.

Lunar New Year lasts for something like two weeks, and includes the official parade, aside from the dancing lions and dragons which are everywhere. Stores sell out of oranges and cuties, for good luck.

Banks are busy getting cash for people to hand out in red envelopes for good luck, and Asian restaurants are spilling over.

It's a wild ride and fun {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

Most people up here feel the same way I do: we like to celebrate it all.

Funny about your DH. Kelly Ripa said her husband is always falling asleep, so you and I are not alone.

Now I KNOW we have to make it up there. My hubby and I are both pilots and I think renting a plane for a flight up there would make a wonderful weekend.

Due to my daughter's cancer (much better now), it would be next year but that will definitely be on our list of fun trips to take.

So glad you told me about this. Actually can't wait. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Mom, you know you and your daughter are in my prayers {#emotions_dlg.wub} I mentioned this to my daughter and she is also sending good thoughts for your DD.

Whenever you decide to see the festivities, let me know, I'll check dates for you. I know cody would be glad to give you other info like sports dates, too.

Thank you so much for your kind words Noel. They are deeply appreciated. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Besides the New Year, I would love to see an Angels-Giants baseball game. Cody would know that, right?

Sure wish I could hop on a plane right now but it will be something to really look forward to!!

Mom, cody is the resident expert on SF baseball & football. Maybe golf and basketball, too, I don't know {#emotions_dlg.laugh} I've seen her say she's no expert, but imo she is.
