I can't stand that muggy, humid hot weather. So I'm trying to cool off by watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

@rms1954 I totally understand what you are saying. I had never watched Hallmark until the lockdown. Their movies have become a wonderful source of distraction from everyday stress. It is something about the formula they use that is both distracting and relaxing.
I hope you can cool down watching those snowy scenes. We are at 102 headed for 108 in West Texas.

Wow! Now that's hot. I'm in upstate New York and it's an unusual 92.

That's my plan, too. Works for me.

I can't take the heat as I get older, my younger days it did not bother me. I am ready for cooler weather...not cold/freezing temps or snow..but I am so looking forward to wearing a light weight sweater and ankle boots and sipping pumpkin spice coffee.

Too hot for me to do much of anything! I did some reorganizing today, and filled a bag of rarely used travel items for donation. We've simplified our packing for short road and extended trips.

@mac116 How did you simplify packing? I tend to take everything but the kitchen sink. I need help!

A fan or air conditioning would work better.

@On It This always works for me, it may sound overkill but it really works!
First make a list of every day of the trip and what you will be doing. Start from the first and pencil in an outfit for every activity. Pick a color theme to make it easier.
As you go through the list, repurpose what you can. A top worn to dinner can go shopping later. A dress can be reworn for nights out. Shoes? You really don't need many. Pack clothing for each day, put in suitcase in reverse order and don't dig through it every day wondering what you have. TAKE THE LIST! I cannot emphasize the importance of this.
Take all of your old undewear and toss it as you travel. Old casual shirts that have seen better days? Travel in them and toss.
Carry minimal toiletries and makeup is critical. Unless you are going to a desert island, there is a CVS near. Using hotel shampoo for a few days will not cause you to go bald. And for goodness sakes don't take full sized containers if possible to decant. You don't want to root through a lot of clutter in your bags.
Pack to have a good time and enjoyable trip, not to stock the bathroom in the hotel.
