Re: Small Christmas Blessings

@QueenDanceALot

Thank you for sharing that happy ending, it brought a smile to my face at a time when I find it hard to smile.

You did all that you could do by informing 'Home Again' of his sighting and making yourself available if they have any questions when they return.

Whether or not they decide to make him an indoor only cat now, given his recent disappearance, is beyond your control.

Although I personally have only had indoor cats (DD currently has 8 indoor formerly feral cats), we can't dictate what others choose to do.

I appreciate you sharing this heartwarming event.Heart

The owner just called (didn't hear the phone, saw I had a message) to say they were on their way back home from visiting and were very hopeful that he'd be there waiting when they drove up.

I wonder if the reason he went missing for awhile was that there was a lot of road crew work going on at several corners in the neighborhood and they were loud and I know how my cats do not like when workers come here and disrupt the usual quiet of the neighborhhood.  The work was completed a couple days ago and all is quiet again.

Re: Small Christmas Blessings

@QueenDanceALot   It sounds like YOU did find him - you were the one!  They would have notified HomeAgain had he been found previously, and you likely would have been told by HomeAgain he had already been found.  Add to that the fact that they are coming home and hope he will be there seems to indicate you knowing him from your walks and spotting him today is not only a wonderful blessing to happen to you, it is the best Christmas present anyone could have given this family.  And that little kitty will be so grateful to be in a warm home with good food and love tonight.  This happy ending just keeps getting happier and better!  Think of all the people that are happier because of that one split second in time when you saw him.

How wonderful!

When I am able to walk, one of my greatest sources of happiness is seeing animals on my way.  I have had occasion to have close contact with many deer, squirrels, rabbits, groundhogs, birds, cats and other assorted creatures.  Some encounters have been scary but most wonderful!

Re: Small Christmas Blessings

I saw the kitty's owner today and am sorry to have to say that the kitty I saw yesterday wasn't the missing one.  It was another kitty of his who looks almost identical.

He is a very nice person who also has a few other cats and dogs, all of whom are rescues.

I will continue to pray for the missing kitty's return.  I am so sorry I was wrong.

Awe that's too bad but your story was beautiful and there is still the possibility for a happy ending.

           @QueenDanceALot,  Thanks for the update, although a sad one.   You've put the positive energy out there with your compassionate words and deeds, and now others also are hoping and praying, so maybe a happy ending will be just around the corner.❤️
