Re: Small Changes That I Have Made

@2blonde My father takes powdered beet root in water from Dr. Mercola (mercola.com) and my 18 yo son takes it to help with his post concussion syndrome.  I hear that it is also good for athletic endurance.  Personally, I try to add 1/2 beet when I make vegetable juice here at home.  I remember reading about a health study where they compared a group of people with moderately high blood pressure who drank 1/3 cup of fresh beet juice a day to another group who took blood pressure medication.   It turned out that the beet juice was more effective (and without side effects).

Re: Small Changes That I Have Made

I was never a coffee drinker. Like tea instead. Not a chocolate lover. I like carbs. Light lunch.At night is my problem. I like to snack. After my DH goes to bed is the worst time for me. I walk at least three times a week. PS I am not loosing any weight.

You’ve given up coffee and soda somewhat. Why?

Okay, drink more booze. You’ll live longer. Just sayin’.

I am just the opposite when it comes to coffee. I've been a daily plain/no sugar coffee drinker for ages.

But I find myself drinking even more coffee and at a stronger brew than ever before, although never after noon or so.

@suzyQ3

Me too!

Really good dark roast from a local coffee roaster, black, several cups over the morning (I start about 4:30 a.m), but none after noon.

@QueenDanceALot, cool. Now I know I'm not crazy...well.

We buy only Peet's Major Dickason's Blend (Dark Roast) -- so complex, with a hint of chocolate. We drink it black. Just thinking about it makes want some, but I'd be up all night (as if I'm not already, but still...)

I'm so nuts that I also love perfume oils with coffee as a note. :-)

You aren't nuts, you are different and I think perfume oils with a coffee note sounds delicious.
