ITA!!  Of all the slang words that have come and gone and stayed over the years, the word 'sick' to mean cool or awesome is the WORST.

I am around dozens of teenagers five days a week and that is not a term that I have heard used. It could also be regional.

I think it may be outdated as I have not heard that used in years!

I grew up in the 80s and the words sick and gnarley were used back then. I will catch myself saying them occasionally.

Yes kids say sick, or ridiculous, and some other words which (to them) mean the opposite of what their true meanings are. But we all had words or sayings in our day, so I can deal with the above fad..

What gets me is, when people talk and use the word like over and over again in one sentence! (The Kardashians do that all the time, even the mom).

I remember one of my daughters friends in the 90's using the word "sweet" for eveything like I guess they use the word "sick" now

Using "sick" to mean "great" is not a new slang term and has been around for decades. I heard it a lot in the early 90s when I worked with kids. I remember a lot of conversations about words meaning the opposite from around how bad meant good and sick meant good and how confusing it could get.

"Gag me with a spoon" was around in the late '60's.

Everybody has some slang term at sometime in his/her life.  LOL
