I buy my sheets from Macy's..the Charter Club brand...I've had good results with those and they seem to last forever.
I like the Charter Club brand, too, Marien. They're usually on sale, too, so good deals!
R&R, I love the feel of "older" sheets. Your 6 year old set has many more years ahead. :-)

I have sheets that are very old and soft. I've been using Vellux type of blankets (microfiber type) for the top sheet. We don't have extremely hot weather here. But, if we did, I would use soft, not too crisp, sheets. I had trouble finding smooth, soft sheets in the past, so I continue to use my older ones that are in excellent condition, yet nice and smooth and soft. No wrinkling, either.

Yes! Older sheets that I have....no pilling, either. Smooth and soft, no wrinkles! Hey, whatever happened to those fabrics? Difficult and expensive to find and try, as they seem smooth in the store, but 'just not the same' when I get them home.

I believe most of mine were from JCP. Looking back, recalling.........

I love cool, crisp sheets! Bed Bath and Beyond has a percale 100% cotton set that I recently bought for my daughter. She loves them. They feel like the sheets I grew up with.
Hmmmm. Looks like there is a trip to BB&B in my future. Thanks!

L.L Bean percale- $100 or so but they are good quality.
That isn't as bad as some of them I have seen for $200 and I can't justify paying that much. I will check out LL Bean. I used to get their catalogs but haven't seen one lately. Thanks!

"Restoration Hardware" is not a hardware store any more than "Pottery Barn" is a barn ....
Lol! Well then that makes more sense! I'll look them up and introduce myself to the company.![]()

jlkz - Thanks for the info. What is the difference between 100% cotton and cotton and sateen?
