I have some 100% cotton from K-Mart--soft and nice---the worst sheets I ever had were 100% Belgian linen from Restoration Hardware---they never softened up the way I thought--after a few years, one ripped--I threw it away and gave the rest away

They sound great, are they 100% cotton? I'll have to check them out.

While I know that most folks like soft sheets I prefer cool, crispy ones. One can hardly find them anymore and if you do...they cost an arm and a leg.

L.L Bean percale- $100 or so but they are good quality.

I wouldn't think sheets from a hardware store would be a good idea?

I have a set that is 32 years old..my aunt got them for us on our first anniversary....and they are still going strong but don't use them any more..keep them for nostalgia lol....she bought them in Newbury's I remember..as my cousin worked there and got a discount lol..they don't make them like that anymore. No pilling at all either.

"Restoration Hardware" is not a hardware store any more than "Pottery Barn" is a barn ....

I am still using Cannon brand sheets that I received as wedding gifts in the early 70's. It ain't just Timex that can take a lickin and keep on tickin! Percale sheets are my favorite though.
