Growing up our milk came directly from the cow into the kitchen to be pasteurized then bottled; it was not homogenized.  When older milk was delivered but still was not homogenized so the cream always rose to the top and we would shake the bottle to mix.

Today, it is very difficult to find milk that has not been homogenized in stores but I still shake the bottle/jug.

Anyone else still shake?

Yes! Absolutely no reason to but I've always done it anyway.

Yes,  I shake my almond milk because the carton says I should.

We still get milk delivery right from the dairy and I always shake those glass bottles.

I'm jealous!!!  I miss those days.  Do you have the option to receive non-homogenized milk?

We're the only mammal on the planet that drinks another mammal's milk.    Milk is for infants, period.   Personally, I don't drink the stuff  .... also, it's too high in sugar.

no, i have had kids that have done that and the end result wasnt a pretty picture. LOL

No, I've never shaken milk, but I do LOVE my milk!
