These clowns are in Pennsylvania too. They are hiding on the edge of wooded areas and around dumpsters and are scaring people by just being there.
So far, they haven't done anything illegal and no one has been arrested. There is an article in this mornings paper blaming a presidential candidate for this, which doesn't make sense to me. Very weird.

Scary clowns have also recently threatened Philadelphia schools on social media.

Good grief - this post made me go to google to learn more about it.
There are 28 states reporting these sightings, including my home state. Right now, the couple of MI clown sightings are not near where I live.
I've been robbed (purse snatching) in my life which sort of marked me for anyone running up on me or getting to close to me, clown or not.
I wasn't a screamer and fall down to the ground person then - the guy had to fight me for my purse.
I'm older now and have even less patience for stupidity. Seriously if some clown runs up on me thinking this is a joke, the joke could conceivably be on him.

I think 'clown sightings' have been reported multiple times
over the last several years.
Why is this a big story now?

I live in an apartment....a few months ago a young guy moved in...well he recently bought a hearse for his pleasure...
The other night he went to a local shopping center and had his brother ride around on the hood with a clown suit on...
Someone called the police and the brother was cited...don't know why he wasn't too...
What an idiot...as are all the others that thinking "clowning" is a good idea....
I was disgusted when he bought the hearse...its unpleasant seeing it in the lot everyday...but now this....

This has been happening in the Philly area too. I thought it was a local problem, didn't realize it was happening everywhere. I wonder who and why started this? It is very disturbing.
Edit: I just read on our local Philly news web page that the clown was a 13 year old girl playing a prank. She doesn't think it's funny now.

I haven't seen any clowns - yet - but I saw Elvis sitting in a car at Sonic..........![]()

That seems mean, to me.
But then there seems to be a lot more people these days who just don't care one whit about the feelings of others, so I guess it's not surprising.

Like the saying goes,
"...the word 'but' erases the original intent'.
@CelticCrafter Does this mean violence is advocated?
