What is wrong with people? I don't find this funny at all...
My daughter was attending a wedding at a 5 star hotel over the weekend...Some goofball thought jumping out at people in the hallway was the thing to do. There were familes with kids there (not attending the wedding) One little toddler was crying and screaming hysterically. Multiple people reported it to Hotel Security.

There has been sightings in my area in central NY. I don't understand it at all.

There are reports of clowns jumping out in front of cars in my town. Sorry, but if you get hit, not my problem.

Here's the real problem, in my opinion.
Some people have spent a lot of time and money being really 'good' clowns. They work for children's charities and in areas that actually make kids (and some adults) happy. They have brought joy and laughter to many.
But with what is going on right now, that may be taken away. Today's kids (even really little ones) see what is going on in the world through our never ending media, and even if they never actually see one of these scary clowns in person, stand the chance of being frightened by the reports on TV etc.
This has the potential to take away yet one more childhood joy/fantasy from people. I know that using the clown character as a villain or frightening character is nothing new, but I just feel there must be some people out there who have really loved being 'good and friendly' clowns and putting smiles on the faces of others that may find their services no longer in demand as what was once a fun and happy personality is now sick and scary.
I'm betting that after Halloween a lot of this may calm down, but in the meantime, when someone shoots one of these nuts or they get run over by a car for their antics, I don't want to see the tears and cries for justice. Scare people on purpose and you get what you get.
People do the dumbest things.

I don't advocate violence but someone needs to open a can of you know what on these jerks...

This situation is very serious. Not at all sure why crazy people think dressing up as clowns wielding knives at passersby is an okay thing to do.
There have been many sightings around this area. On Friday they closed one of the suburban schools because a clown person tweeted/FB'd that (he) was hitting up the school to hurt students and kill teachers. This clown is still on the loose. And this is only one of many incidents around here.
This is so dangerous especially with halloween slated for the end of the month. If I had children they definitely would not be going out begging for candy unless perhaps unless it was during the day with both me & DH.

Some people are so strange. What kind of people enjoy this? What's wrong with them?

These people are "clowns" and should find something more productive to do with there time.![]()
