So sorry.  They were great to me .  my DIL has Alzheimer's and can't use her card, so I used it.  When I told them I needed, a card because we don,t live at the same address.  The lady said, yes you do .  took my picture, gave me a new card, no charge.  That was so nice of her to do such a nice service.

 Maybe, she liked my honesty, or maybe be cause I,m very elderly.  I sure blessed her for being so kind.

It's so unfair to suggest that Costco is mistreating widows.  

My husband and I shared a membership. ( he was the original or primary member)  When he passed away, I let them know and added my daughter as my other member.  No issues.

I know for a fact he does not own a digital card from Costco nor is he a member.  I love him, great neighbor and helps this gentleman who really needs the attention and help.  BUT I was a bit surprised that he was able to pay easily without question.

@bonnielu  he was so lucky that the Cashier did it for him.

I saw my neighbor's Cosco Card last night and her Cosco Credit Card has her picture on the back which is also her Membership Card.

She said before the Customer was the one who swiped it while the cashier scanned the items but now she has to give the Card to the cashier to make sure that the picture  on the back looks like her lol. So it's swiped and then given back to her.

They are really cracking down. I'm not with Cosco but have been with Sam's forever. I love their Scan and Go.

No, he was not a member.  He is so used to buying when he takes his friend that he probably did not think anything of it. In a way since he is a great helpful person he should be rewarded.  However he is not a member and should not be breaking the rules.
