Re: SAW AMERICAN SNIPER YESTERDAY!

From what I've read about this movie and the fact that it's based on a real person, I will not be able to watch it. There has to be something wrong with anyone who can kill hundreds of people and is not only proud of it but regrets he couldn't kill more. He was a hunter and killer of animals in his childhood, in other words, a natural born killer. I do not put our brave soldiers who are in wars and risking (losing) their own lives for our country in the same category.

I also wonder what's wrong with individuals like Clint Eastwood and Quentin Tarantino who produce and direct only violent movies. Eastwood did act in The Bridges of Madison County and a couple of other non-violent movies, but by far 90% of his movies are grossly violent.

You have to make this political. Why?

that ship sailed long before this post.

I didn't read any posts that mentioned prior administrations in a derogatory manner.

you said "politics"

This entire thread is divided down political lines.

I said 'political'.

BTW I'm not a R Wink

It's a shame that you even have to mention that in here, but I can understand perfectly why you did. Wink

Ford he said he regretted not being able to save more of his men...not killing more. Do you realize he saved many Iraqis as well?

Re: SAW AMERICAN SNIPER YESTERDAY!

Ford, he was protecting soldiers who were going to be killed. He risked his own life to do so. He served four tours.

He wasn't shooting those people for sport, but to protect his comrades.

And now today MM amped it today. MLK was killed by a sniper...I can not believe he compares the 2.

Re: SAW AMERICAN SNIPER YESTERDAY!

Most of my family are "hunters" and that does NOT equate with "natural born killers". I am sorry, but that simply is not true.

While I can certainly understand those that don't like or agree with hunting, and eating what they kill, that blanket statement is offensive to me.
