Re: Rose of Tralee Celebration

Hi, everyone.  I like H203988, the connemara marble/waterford hurricane lamp.  It's in my basket but I am still deciding.  I wouldn't light a votive in it (not with 2 mixey Siamese cats in the house who are into everything)--but could get a flameless votive and have some soft night lighting.  Or for a gift for my youngest brother and his wife, who both love Irish things.

Buying sweaters in FL is so abstract, as I hardly ever need one--maybe a few days a year.  But I hope to be travelling to Britain in Dec, and would need one then.  There are three I like, but so far I can't decide.

The holly Belleek mugs are so pretty, but I think they are a bit too small to be practical.

Lots of nice choices after all this year--I am enjoying cruising through the items online.

Re: Rose of Tralee Celebration

Good morning everyone.  Hope you all have been having fun watching and purchasing.

I just got up about 1/2 hour ago.  Slept very well, and should be good for the balance of these shows today.

Have check to see what I missed on their shows, and looks like some pretty things have been available for us.  Now I have to go back and read all of your posts on here and try to respond to some of them.

Here's hoping we have fun for the balance of the day on here.

Hi ShowMe & fellow Rose of Tralee Celebrants!

I'm also missing the old days when we'd get an entire day of Irish made products for both Rose of Tralee and St. Patrick's Day.  That said, I'm thilled to have found something I don't yet have....The Waterford Crystal & Connemara Marble Lamp (H203988)!  I also finally grabbed the adorable Belleek Bunny Basket (H07832)I've had my eye on for years.

I too miss those old days.......Just can't understand why they have changed this on us.

I hope they show that lamp again......I didn't get to see it when it was shown.  About that adorable bunny basket......I have it and love it.  I am a collector of Belleek......  It is in my dining area on a small chest along with my Belleek castle lamp and another piece of Belleek my sister got me when she was in Ireland.

I was pretty tickled last night, right when Stephen Walsh came on to present the Connemara marble bracelet, that the discussion thread (the one on Q Talk) was shown, and they read my post on air!

How cool, Homegirl!   I was asleep by then and missed that, but am glad you didn't.

Meant to ask - what did you all think of the new sweater Jacqui was wearing at midnight?  A271210

I didn't think the sleeves were particularly flattering, and the whole sweater looked kind of matronly to me.

I didn't particularly care for it either.  There were more youthful sweaters she could have worn, but have a feeling they tell them what they want them to wear.

Did not see the sweater I really like in any of the previous shows, so hope they will be showing it this afternoon.

I ordered the color shown.  For some reason this new sweater comes in 4 colors - 3 shades of grey and beige.  I needed a new neutral color to go with everything.

You can never go wrong with neutral colors......hope you enjoy it when you get it......

There appear to be few new products in the line-up.  They've been cutting way back on air time for both R of T and SPD.  I'm wondering if Irish products will soon be a thing of the past.

You may be certain you will need a sweater or 2 when you are in Britian in Dec.  Their weather can be quite chilly and damp......  Hope you have a wonderful trip.
