Re: Robin Williams found dead???

I'm really sad. He was one of my favorite actors and comedians. Really the only one that made me laugh all the time! I loved seeing him on talk shows and starting one of his riffs.

He was great on the Actor's Studio. That was several years ago. I remember there was an audience member, a woman, who had the loudest laugh. Her laugh stood out from everyone else's. You could tell Robin was getting into it, and it only encouraged him more. It was great!

I loved Mrs. Doubtfire. Also, Good Morning Vietnam, Jumanji, and so many others. More recently, RV. He was really good in that, too.

Very sad for his family and his kids. Smiley Sad

And not a word mentioned on ET...they must film earlier in the day.

I was wondering why they didn't say a word about it. Thanks, that makes sense.

Yes. They tape early because it's a syndicated show and runs at all different times throughout the country.

Thanks...I thought so. I am sure tomorrow will be filled with the news.

Re: Robin Williams found dead???

There is an interesting rambling interview with James Lipton (Inside the Actors Studio) on MSNBC right now. BRAVO is part of NBC, so he is their go-to guy. He is very upset and keeps apologizing for not being able to give a better interview.

Very heartfelt.

Loved that guy. Goodwill Hunting & Dead Poet's Society are among my favorite movies. Wish he could have a do over today -- and make a different decision. Too young -- my heart goes out to his family and dearest of friends. I think he's an only child -- but don't quote me. Sad news.

Re: Robin Williams found dead???

A person can sometimes appear to the outside world as having everything to live for: family, love, money, fans, fame, adoration, all the materials things money can buy, talent, accomplishments, and still be in the depths of despair. He must have been in terrible pain....

So sad for the talent the world has lost and the man his family and close friends will have to grieve.

Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci. -Allan Moore

Re: Robin Williams found dead???

Have to add my favorite work by Robin Williams too.

I must admit I was never much of a fan of Mork and Mindy. And his appearances on talk shows were so hyper as to make me nervous. My husband loved it all but his energy would tire me. But what I loved most was his acting in movies like Dead Poet's Society, Awakenings, and Good Will Hunting.

He was a genius and he could do it all. With all that money and all his contributed to so many worthy causes including various medical charities, I wish someone could have helped him recover mental stability.
