I agree with the posts here. It's hard to find a perfectly clean restaurant; ridiculous. It's not hard to keep things clean!!!!

My pet peeve is when the server first comes to the table and says "I'm Suzy and I'll be taking care of you'. I cringe every time. I don't know what restaurant started that but I hate it. Just take my order, bring my food, and be nice.

and scrawled on the back of the check in big loopy letters: " Thank U So Much :-) Suzy "

Lol. Your pet peeveSmiley Happy Imagine being required to say it! "Hi. My name is (insert name), welcome to (insert restaurant name), this evening's specials are (insert pretentious chef creation here), today's soup is a very special (insert name), which appetizer will you be starting with this evening?" {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} That's right, everybody's favorite pet peeve! The casual upsell/implication that you will be ordering an appetizer. Next up, everything you order will be followed by an upsell. As in, you order a rum and coke, and I reply (with the nod) "Bacardi?" Then you order your dinner and I am required to do my best to get you to add mushrooms and onions to your steak or bacon and cheese to your potato. Coffee? Now, it's time for me to ask if you would like a shot of Bailey's with that. Dessert? How 'bout some ice cream with it? By the way, it has been proven that the servers that sign their checks with the loopy letters, smiley faces, and such, make more tips than those that don't{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

My pet peeve is when the server does not write down the order. My husband has several health issues where his diet is limited. He may ask for a substitution ( such as rice instead of fries) or ask that no salt or cheese be added. The restaurants we go to have no problem with these kinds of requests, but if the server doesn't write it down it usually comes out wrong! Then they have to take back his order while everyone else at the table has to either eat without him or wait for his food to come back - which means our food gets cold.

My new peeve is TV sets. On every wall. All playing some sports clips

For this reason, we might just as well eat off our t.v. trays in front of our own t.v. at home. Good point!

Restaurant pet peeves: IF they serve booze- people acting stupid while drinking bother me, and people on annoying cellphones!!!!! Never ate at a place with dirty anything, and children don't bother me, they are blessings. Adults rude actions bother me.

When the waiter/waitress asks "What are WE ordering for dinner".

I've been so tempted to say, "are you going to join us?" Ha! Almost every restaurant we go to, we are asked that question.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}
