I just finished reading the original thread that posted a week/so ago. Many of us were of "raised eyebrow", so this doesn't come as a surprise. People put so much emotion into media events like this. I question the "common sensibility" someone has to immediately throw money @ the problem.
There are numerous, numerous, numerous kids out there that need the same medical attention that this little girl does...why aren't the pocketbooks open for those kids? It's just because this little girl has a story....a hook...a bit...to lure people in. I'm shocked that people can be so easily fooled. Jahi is another case that just makes me shake my head. Some people might think that innocent gullibility is an endearing trait I can't do that. I'm a fact checker...and then give appropriately. But if that's how you roll, go for it.
At the end of the day, the little girl needs medical attention...and she'll never have sight in her eye. Too bad those facts will be brush under the rug of distrust with her grandmother. Sad.
ETA: About the breed of the dog...it's the owners that cause accidents, not a certain breed.
