Wonder if that Las Vegas plastic surgeon will still make good on his offer.

If this was a hoax, this grandmother is despicable to use her little granddaughter as a pawn.
It's sick that she took the unfortunate situation of an innocent little girl and plastered her adorable face all over for the world to see her and identify her.
I hope there are stiff charges filed against her. She should spend some time in the big house.
And so should that loser of a grandfather, whose dogs mauled the little girl. He should be sent to prison for that. Gross negligence.
What a nuisance these two 'grand' parents are.....
They're both useless.

I was reading some comments on one of the newssites and several of the commenters thought it was okay for these people to lie. That the girl needed help so the end justified the means. How incredibly disgusting!!
I am impressed that KFC pledged 30,000 to the little girl's medical no matter what the outcome of the investigation.

"I promise its not a hoax, I never thought any of this would blow up the way it has. The article circling the web calling this a hoax is untrue. The article it self say the investigation is not complete. It is not over until KFC releases a statement. The media outlet running this story is not connected with KFC. The family has not asked for anything, a attorney is handling all the media publicity for the family pro bono. Please do not believe untrue media. I have personally watched this family go without to provide for Victoria. They have not and would not do anything to hurt Victoria in any way."

Now that's sick...using that little girl like that. Shame on all involved.

what's so heartbreaking is that this little girl does need medical care but with a family like this, could anyone trust that she would get the money?
the money should be put in escrow and payouts to treat her would have to be approved and paid directly.

she DOES need the surgery........but.........if this pans out to be fake, the ONLY one hurt by it will be that little girl.........PLUS that grandpa who had that little thing around those pits bulls, someone should knock him upside the head with a 2x4.......with EVERYTHING that has been printed about that breed and kids.............shame on him....................................raven

I just finished reading the original thread that posted a week/so ago. Many of us were of "raised eyebrow", so this doesn't come as a surprise. People put so much emotion into media events like this. I question the "common sensibility" someone has to immediately throw money @ the problem.
There are numerous, numerous, numerous kids out there that need the same medical attention that this little girl does...why aren't the pocketbooks open for those kids? It's just because this little girl has a story....a hook...a bit...to lure people in. I'm shocked that people can be so easily fooled. Jahi is another case that just makes me shake my head. Some people might think that innocent gullibility is an endearing trait I can't do that. I'm a fact checker...and then give appropriately. But if that's how you roll, go for it.
At the end of the day, the little girl needs medical attention...and she'll never have sight in her eye. Too bad those facts will be brush under the rug of distrust with her grandmother. Sad.
ETA: About the breed of the dog...it's the owners that cause accidents, not a certain breed.

I wonder who is the source saying this is a hoax?
