So good to see he's doing this well. Good wins over bad!

I loved seeing him get that warm reception after what he's been through.  I saw that the officers who protected him at the scene got recognized the other day-- I think it was for "Capitol Police Officers of the Year" or some such other honor.

Those officers deserve the honor. If not for them I don't even want to think of how bad it would have been. Good news indeed!

that was a nice return -  it was interesting to hear of the well wishes of world leaders and great to hear tributes to the Capitol police and the medical team who obviously have done an inspired and outstanding job. we all read the odds against him being on his feet again due to the seriousness and location of his injuries.  hallelu!  so glad to have something to smile about.

Those officers deserve the honor. If not for them I don't even want to think of how bad it would have been. Good news indeed!

He gave them the honor so deserved.  He called them "his hero".  What a moving welcome back for Rep. Scalise and his strong, loving wife.

@Hoovermom I agree. I meant they deserved the honor or Capitol Police of the Year that Oznell mentioned. I didn't mean Scalise did not deserve the warm outpouring he got. Sorry if my comment was taken wrong. I thought it was a beautiful speech and it was heartwarming to see him doing so well.
