I hear ya! They had so many drugstores being robbed for Oxycotin (sp) that they have sheriff officers in our stores. It's a epidemic here & if I need a certain Rx I can't use mail away but have to physically bring Rx into drugstore (more $$$). Before they fill it you need to produce DL, thumbprint & 1st born!!!!
and statistics show in our area it's not just young people lots of Sr citizens addicted OR selling their drugs to these addicts!!! So sad
Glad you were able to get a tube to hold you over. Hope she was "cheaper" than drug company or just her copay. Sorry you have to go thru this nonsense!
Ps: I would certainly give you a tube never charge you - i know you prefer the non-generic although I see no difference at least so far.

My Canadian neighbor who winters across the street here in Fl. always brings me a large tube when she comes down. It is $10 in Canada and $65 copay for me here in America.
It is a NSAID - just absorbs thru the skin instead of the stomach.

@EdithEllenLily wrote:@Kachina624 Oh dear, I don't like it that you have that stiff lower back pain in the morning!
Have you tried Arnicare Gel? It really helped me last year when my back was 'out' ... just trying to help!
When I told my doctor that I no longer wanted to use Voltaren, he recommended Arnicare, so I switched to that. If I'm ever in need again, I would definitely try Arnicare first. Thanks for mentioning this - I had forgotten all about it!

@Kachina624 wrote:@homedecor1 Appreciate the information but Voltaren is not available at all through my mail order drug company. It's not in their formulary. I think I can get it from Mexico. My friend sold me a tube she had and didn't need, so I'm okay for the short term.
Have you all noticed that drug abusers have no problem getting what they want? The rest of us, who play by the rules, have to jump through hoops.
Sadly, I have noticed that with many things. I know someone who had to apply for temporary public assistance. She is legitimately in need, has followed all the rules, done everything properly, and provided every bit of documentation they requested, but they continue to keep her her jumping through hoops for a ridiculous amount of time. I appreciate that they want to be thorough, yet we hear about fraud and people beating the system all the time. It makes me so angry.
I've been a rule-follower my entire life, and many times I was left in the dust or treated unfairly while those who ignored the rules got exactly what they wanted. So frustrating!
Btw, I just found a large, unopened tube of Voltaren. I wish there was a way that I could send it to you.
