ITA .... I think much comes from the fact they are accidents by birth.  Never had to qualify or run for public office, yet they are handed a luxurious life and adoration on a silver platter.

Of course, who they are when the cameras aren't present is another thing entirely.

I agree. I find the flaunting of wealth stolen during their colonial exploints disgusting in the modern, enlightened world.

Re: ROYAL OUTFITS FOR NOVEMBER

Princess Catherine always looks lovely.  I believe many rules went by the wayside with the passing of the Queen, nail polish and panty hose.

If I put on a dress I put on a pair of panty hose first.  It is just me and I cannot change it now.  We were required to always wear panty hose in drill team with our boots so everyone's legs did not look strange.

The Monarchy is extremely popular and is not going away ever.  The United Kingdom loves them and what they bring to their economy and causes.  So many foreign countries have Royal Families and all seem to be going strong in popularity.

I agree with you.  The monarchy is still popular in Britain.  If the people of Britain didn't want the monarchy it would have been gone a long time ago.

Funny that pantyhose went out of style. When was that exactly? We moved from Ohio to Florida in 2007. I noticed no one wearing them in Florida, and honestly thought that was a Florida thing, until I learned otherwise - that no one seemed to be wearing them anymore. I am sure I still have a few pair of Leggs somewhere!

I think many women switched to tights because occasionally nylons run much too quickly, and you just can't wear them that way, unless it's under slacks.

Just speculation on my part.

My Leggs from the '90's are still going strong, no runs or snags.  Pulled pair out last month to go to a funeral. Still have the eggs they came in too.Woman Very Happy
