Re: RIP ~ Ralphie May, Comedian

I first saw him on Last Comic Standing. Several jokes of his stand out in my mind still. He was a true talented comic. R.I.P. funny man!

I'm not sure why his death and what may have caused it is any different than any other celebrity who has died and then is picked about regarding their lifestyle choices.

He was a very funny guy and my heart goes out to his children because they've lost their father. You can not deny, however, that he was young and to also think his obesity didn't contribute to it.

Why he didn't take care of himself, no one can answer. The reality is that his choices have left two young children without a dad. Instead of supporting those who choose to be severely overweight, obese, morbidly obese and super morbidly obese, we should wonder WHY they embrace the lifestyle that allows them to maintain that weight. I don't agree with the "oh, there's nothing wrong with it. Every size is beautiful".

I've been there and done that.
